  • Strategies to resolve conflict
    • Plan parent-student-teacher conferences to discuss any problems or conflicts.
    • Teachers should build relationships with parents that instill trust with one another, this will allow for teachers, students, and parents to have open communication.
    • Find the conflict as a learning experience; finding ways of handling different personalities is an important life lesson.
    • Set clear expectations in the classroom for both teacher and students.
    • Teacher and students work together to build classroom "rules"
    • Create a classroom community that is respectful and open to opinions.
    • Practice scenerios in the classroom that will give the students solutions when it comes to conflicts in the classroom.
    • Teacher should have an open door policy when it comes to both student and parent concerns in the classroom.
