Language Disorders

 A Lanuage Disorder is when a person has difficulty understanding and/or using spoken, written, and/or other symbol sytems such as gestures or American Sign Language.

 

Disorders may involvedifficulty in:

  1. the formation of language (phonology, morphology, syntax)
  2. the content of the language (semantics)
  3. the function of language in communication (pragmatics)
